1. Business of CEN Technologies?

CEN Technologies started in June 2015. The Managing Director for the company is Mr. Krishnakumar K.R., who has 25 years of experience, supported by the Director, Mr. Nirmal Anandan Nair who has 35 years of experience, and is based in Kochi. Starting with Electronics Board Testing solutions CEN Technologies periodically transferred into a complete automation solution provider. Company focus on the Design and Development of SPM (Special Purpose Machines). These machines are designed based on the production needs of the customer. A conceptual design is developed initially, and then consistently reviewed so that the design meets the production requirement while at the same time maintain economic feasibility. Every machine is built to the highest quality standards to ensure the exceptional performance and durability. Our advanced manufacturing process and expert team ensured that each machine operated flawlessly delivering unmatched reliability and efficiency with zero tolerance for failure.

2. Activities in which CEN involved

The company provides services in very special areas of Engineering such as Industrial Automation and Electrical Automation. In Industrial Automation we do the Design and Development of Customized machines or Special Purpose Machines, Electrical testers, Vision system based machines, Customized heavy duty conveyors, Voltage regulators and converters etc.The design and development are done from conceptual design to the Production. We provide Assembly of Electronic boards and Sourcing of Electronic components. We are involved in the designing of Tools, Dies, and other specialized machinery used in the manufacturing process.We design and develop Tyler-made machines for specific industrial processes which could range from usage in production lines to specialized equipment for part manufacturing.

In Electrical Automation we have a strong well-experienced team who can provide solutions to all power related issues and control systems. Our solution ensures that each equipment functions at the desired parameter level and its output meets the desired expectation, all while ensuring the equipment’s safety and improved life cycle. Mr. Shyam Prasad S, our Director and head of Electrical Automation who has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry, is now stationed at Kuwait with discussion of some proposed projects. Prior to joining hands with CEN, he has worked with many MNC’s in its power transmission and distribution business in the Oil and gas sector, worked for Power Utilities and turnkey solutions in power transmission business and few other sectors. We provide an end to end solution in power projects which include bidding, execution and handing over. Shyam holds a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

After an in-depth study, we go with the conceptual design and after review,we offer a production design that meets in the production request at a viable economic feasibility. We have expertise in reverse Engineering which allows us to enhance the existing machinery, potentially improving the performance. We are also into the security sector industry, involves the manufacture and sale of safety equipment and security systems, access control systems, fire extinguishing systems, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) monitoring systems, and communication encryption equipments.

4. Exporting and importing

We have foreign customers and exported our Machines and Electronic Modules to Malta, Malaysia, Finland, USA, UAE etc. The customers are into the Electronics Products manufacturing related to Security services and in to the Shipping services. We import components for our own mechines building activities and four customers also.

5. Location of the company

We are operating in a facility of around 7500 Sq. Ft. area, at Thengod, Kakkanad. Our plan is to construct a full-fledge manufacturing facility, so that in future all the fabrications are done in-house. We are allocated with a plot of 50 Cents in the new KINFRA Electronic Park Kakkanad.We have initiated actions for the construction of a 30000 Sq.Ft. machine floor in this location. Our design team consists of 9 Engineers who are specified in different Engineering Streams to meet varied customer requirements.

6. Inspiration for this business

Mr. Krishnakumar during his career for a tenure of 14 years in an MNC had a keen desire to do business relating to Technical Activities. To make the inspiration into reality, he decided to quit the job. His experience helped him in developing and maintaining good customers for his business. The focus was to ensure his company will be an unavoidable active part of the business sector. He needs new customers to join with him as business partners which he thinks can be achieved only if quality products are delivered to the expectations of customers. Shaping the business to the next level needs more focus on the improvement of existing areas and also to get adapted with the latest Technologies as well. With the then little experience in the business field and the courage to start a new business, he started assembling Electronics boards and Testing of boards.The aim of transforming the company into an Automation firm came true with the help of major customers like Agappe Diagnostics, Safe Packaging, Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory, APTIV Connection System India, OSI Optronics, Malaysia etc.

7. Work with AI.

The world is changing every second with new technologies like Robotics, AI, etc. We also need to perform in a better way to ensure our existence in this competitive world. We are very keen to adopt the new technologies and implement the same in our products also. We are giving training to our employees to get adapted to the new Technologies for developing much more efficient machineries which helps customers improve their product quality and quantity.

8. Management & Family

Mr. Krishnakumar K R, Company MD, completed his Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering. His family consists of his Mother,Wife and Two children.

Mr. Nirmal Anandan Nair, Director, for Indian operations, a degree holder in Civil Engineering have Two children and Wife in his family.

The Director of Middle East operations Mr Shyam Prasad S, in his nuclear family has his Wife and Two kids.
